MDT Travel Info is an official app of the Montana Department ofTransportation. MDT Travel Info provides traveler informationfocused on the State of Montana, including road conditions,construction projects, road incidents, still camera images, andatmospheric information. The app allows a user to find theircurrent location and map routes based on address or city names.Routing, addressing, and base maps are provided by Google Inc.Additional base maps are provided by ESRI Inc. The winter roadreporting season runs from November through April. During thistime, road conditions are updated twice a day or as major changesoccur. Road reports are based on the last reported condition, theinformation is not real time. Please be aware that conditions canchange rapidly so plan for winter conditions. Camera and RWISinformation is the last reported from our remote sites. Site updatetimes vary so please note the data time and know that weather inMontana can change rapidly. Some of the cameras are from other DOTagencies in neighboring states and provinces. Current radar imageis provided by the Iowa Environmental Mesonet and updated everyfive minutes. MDT's mission is to serve the public by providing atransportation system and services that emphasize quality, safety,cost effectiveness, economic vitality and sensitivity to theenvironment.
